Karma Yoga brings the greatest rewards in both personal and spiritual growth. Certainly, you must practice it in a disciplined manner. The sevenfold path consists of twelve steps. But, they address a facet of human behavior that suppresses consciousness. However, it is Karma Yoga that brings great personal and spiritual rewards.
Important Steps Of Karma Yoga
The first of the twelve steps is Karma. This step addresses the unconscious habits and practices that lie behind all negative emotional and behavioral patterns.
The next step, Jnana, provides for the attainment of mastery over Karma, and its attendant causes and effects. The material base for the cultivation of Karmic Self-realization depends on the spiritual Karmas generated in accordance with the known laws of Karma. This step focuses on the fulfillment of the spiritual capacities for insight, patience, and an understanding of life’s sacred order.
The fifth step, Manas, addresses the connection between the Karmic Self and our true selves. The conscious self connects to consciousness, and the former connects to the former. Both interconnect with each other.
The third step, Prajna, engages the individual’s subconscious mind and helps to unify his and her life forces. It includes the energies of compassion, love, and wisdom. This third step addresses the most subtle of all energy systems, which may be called the Spiritual Self.
Finally, the seventh step, Samadhi, is the final step in the sequence. The Spiritual Self is the consciousness that always perceives and interacts with the physical and mental worlds. This consciousness is the infinite Self. It is constantly in movement, attempting to rectify itself through the actions and reactions of the numerous self-contemplative selves. Therefore, the Creator, or the Absolute, becomes the context of the Self’s experience of life.
Aims Of Karma Yoga
Certainly, to know more about Karma Yoga aims to unify the states of the Self by developing positive abilities. The result is a union of the infinite and finite. Achieve this by bringing each state under a divinely guided arrangement that ties them to the subliminal reservoir of life force energy.
In the third and fourth stages of Karma Yoga, the aspirant faces his unconscious habits, he can change them to the level of awareness. The meditation itself is one continuous practice. But, when the body feels the stress of repeated meditations, it is best to practice simple techniques.
However, there are significant techniques that bring about the unification of the Karmic Self and the Conscious Self. One of the best practices is Jnana, which translates into “meditation.”
Jnana is meditation without interference of the outer objects only to relax the body, mind, and senses. Therefore, the word “jnana” literally means “peripheral meditation.”
In conclusion, if your concentration impaired, it might interfere with the continuation of the previous stage. Hence, you can do the next step of Jnana with a guide, called tantra. However, if you do the practice without outside objects, yoga becomes simple.
